| PHOENIX, ARIZONA (BNO NEWS) – A former Scottsdale, Arizona man was sentenced on Monday to an additional five years in prison for mail and wire fraud charges, prosecutors announced. Edwin Lyle Negrin, 48, is currently serving a two-year sentence in a Wisconsin prison for misrepresenting himself to a potential buyer as the owner of a Chevy Tahoe. Negrin placed advertisements on a website called “Vacations Rentals by Owner” from December 2007 to January 2008. His advertisements offered for rental purported luxury homes in the North Carolina area. He charged $1,900 to $4,000 per week, depending upon location and time of the year. Negrin told customers to wire money and sign rental contracts, mailed later to Scottsdale. After collecting the deposits, Negrin stop communicating with the customers. None of the contracts were fulfilled and no refunds were made by Negrin. In addition to his Wisconsin sentence, Negrin would have to serve his new sentence consecutively and to pay $192,735 in restitution
